We got quite a bit of snow in Potomac Falls and Mommy even came along for the fun as we ran around the neighborhood looking for a special hill to sled down. Joseph tagged along as well and had a good time hopping around through the nearly 2 feet of snow!

Brooklyn’s Chore List

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Brooklyn started getting chores at an early age, a little over 2 years old that is! Her first chore was to take care of the family dog Joseph the Great. Her second chore now is she is responsible for clearing the dished off the dining room table after one of mommy’s delicious meals. While sitting here writing this post I did a quick Google search on “Children and Chores” and found the following article by Patricia Sullivan and National PTA which appears to be targeted to older children. The article is broken down into two key areas, “Getting the job done” and “Motivation”.

“Although chores are important because they teach basic life skills and help children build personal responsibility”

IMG_2474.JPG

Booklyn had a wonderful Christmas in Indianapolis, IN with her grandparents, family and friends!   She of course could not wait to open her gifts this year on Christmas morning.  Brooklyn also had Christmas in Virginia as we did an early present sharing before our plan ride to Indy.   This trip was the first time that baby B had her own seat on the plan!   She also go to feed Nana and Papa’s pet squirrels that they have “inherited”…lol!  Brooklyn also experience the “coldest” weather she has EVER felt at 7 degrees with high winds.  She wasn’t too thrilled about that!!  Good thing that only lasted one day (:
